Restoration
Just having
completed her 75th anniversary, Anitra is getting a keel-up restoration in
order make her former glory re-appear.
In July of 2003 her restoration has started in the well-known shipyard
"Yacht- und Bootswerft Joseph Martin" at Radolfzell, Lake Constance,
Southern Germany (http://www.martin-yachten.de).
Anitra will have to undergo a very thorough and time consuming process
which will likely take about three years time. Luckily all the design
drawings used in 1928 were still available at Abeking & Rasmussen. A
complete set of 78 copies has been kindly handed over to Mast Gbr so that
an authentic restoration process can know been started.
Mast GbR is gratefully enjoying the support and back-up of Abeking &
Rasmussen with their vast experience in building fine sailing yachts
throughout many years. This constitutes a valuable contribution in the
endeavor of the big and tempting challenge to comprehensively restore
Anitra.
